Get on your bike for good!

Off-season training

Last week I invited some folks out to ride on the bike trail -- from West Sac to the American River Bike trail by way of Discovery Park. It was a fun, if slow, ride, with some funny moments.
I got to hang out with Ron from spinning and have a faster ride with him while some others hung back. 7-year-old Kaden saw a man wearing a bright yellow turban type thing and said, "Look! A fortune teller!"

This isn't the same man, but it almost captures the look (this is just a stock photo, but our fortune teller did happen to be on the phone, so I thought it was a good stand-in):

And we stopped while the boys rode through the fountain.

I think that's one of my favorite shirts. And I especially like it when it's accompanied by a helmet. It says, "I do all my own stunts."
