Today the State of California stopped issuing discriminatory marriage licenses. The CA Supreme court's decision took effect today at 5:01 making same-sex and different-sex marriages of equal value within the State. Being equal in the eyes of the law (at least some of the laws) for the first time in California's history is a pretty good feeling. Who new that even those who don't ride the bus would feel so strongly when they got to sit wherever they wanted?
Yolo County (where Davis and West Sacramento are) was among the first to perform ceremonies.
