Back in the saddle again

Life has been stupendously busy of late. Last night I finally got a full night's sleep. I only have 13 more days that will be packed from morning to night (and then some), and then my little life will be back to the pace to which I've grown accustomed (which does not involve traveling every single weekend). I think my cats are protesting the 'gone from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.' nature of these weeks in a most dissatisfying way.

This weekend I'm going up to Clear Lake to visit a friend and ride around the Lake -- it should be around a metric century (66 miles or so), though I haven't done my own map from the house yet.

I'm planning to camp under his oak trees and get up with the sun. This was part of the Route for NCAC '07, and I thought it was the second best part of the ride. I'll try to take some photos.

Next post will be a map -- I think my friend lives in Lakeport, so that's where I'll start.

(Oh, and for those of you who were wondering: I haven't had any outside input on the lipstick, but from my own point of view, this is not a product I will buy again. It has a purplish tint that was not apparent when I smeared it on my hand, and it smells like perfume-infused berries, which only serves to first annoy me and then make me want berries.)
