Last Saturday we had little NCAC reunion when a handful of us donned our NCAC jerseys and hit the road for the UC Davis Chapter of Habitat for Humanity. It was a 32-mile out and back from Davis to Winters. I decided to ride from my house to more or less double the distance. It was a good, if windy, day. Great to ride with good friends.
No good photos from last weekend, but I'll post some soon -- I think it makes for better reading. Kind of like Playboy.
My sister wrote last week and said she had been riding a lot lately with some friends and they have some summer rides planned. They're all "avid cyclists" she reports, 'not "crazy-ass cyclists" like you.'
Seems like that would be a fine line -- how far past avid is 'crazy ass'? Of course, she and her friends are riding at 6,000 feet and above. For someone who lives at 25 feet above sea level, that sounds kind of crazy-ass.
