Get on your bike for good!

Lather Rinse Repeat

Riding home from work the other night, I noticed my bike was riding funny. Felt like the bike tire was wobbling. I stopped and checked. It was about 60% flat. I was dreading the walk home and thought maybe I could just try to get as far as I good on the 40% pressure that I had left. So I just took it slow, avoided big bumps and breaks in the road, and thought about things. . .
I was wondering if I'd blog about it. And it pretty much comes down to: "I got a flat on the way home. In the seedy area." And I thought how boring it would be because that blog has come and gone. And then I thought about my bike training this past spring and that it was hard to write about because it was pretty much the same as the year before. And if I thought that was the same, well take a look at my weeks.
Sunday: Run or ride. Make a week's worth of lunches and/or do the dreaded grocery shopping. Psych myself up for the week. Write weekly NorCal email. Plan out runs for running group.
Monday: ride to work, sometimes on time, try to get caught up from missing a day last week. Ride to board meeting/committee meeting/other meeting. Ride home. Grumpily wish someone else would make dinner. Read. Bed.
Tuesday: teach at 6 a.m., again at 6:30a.m., ride to work, back to the gym, run or workout, teach at 6p.m., again at 6:30p.m. Home for dinner or chatting with a friend. Read. Bed.
Wednesday: Teach at 6 a.m. To work. Committee meeting or other meeting, or try to catch up on this or that. Read. Bed.
Thursday: teach at 6 a.m., again at 6:30, ride to work, back to the gym, run or workout, teach 6p.m., again at 6:30p.m. Home for dinner or chatting with a friend. Read. Bed.
Friday: Teach 6a.m. Run or Ride. Respond to 800 NorCal emails. Coordinate ride/training session/workshop for NorCal. Research/draft/meet about some legal issue for someone else. Wonder if it's even worth leaving the house because I will just be home soon anyway to go to bed.
Saturday: Run or ride. Do whatever it is people do on Saturdays. Clean house. Think about doing the dreaded grocery shopping, but don't actually do it.

Get up Sunday: start over.
I remember posting something in Spring of '08 about being exhausted. I remember thinking a few weeks ago that my "busy period" comes when NorCal kicks into gear (ha ha) and isn't it nice that I still have a few months before that happens? But then I immediately wondered how I was going to fit that in to my current schedule. Like I keep saying: something is going to have to give.

But is it? No. Because I'm thinking of doing a month of Crossfit. I really need to decide that by today. It would be three sessions/week for three weeks, then a week of workouts.
What is Crossfit? It's a lot like this:

Hard to say if this would be a good idea. I was also thinking of doing Bikram (hot) Yoga. You know, in my spare time.
