Genetics

Would like to thank my grandfather for passing down a liver-of-steel. Or rather, I would like to hope that I've inherited my grandfather's liver of steel.

I'm going to need it as I've also inherited my dad's bad knees and my mom's bad back. I will be thankful for my impenetrable liver when I start waking up and taking Advil, eating lunch and taking Advil, having a snack and taking Advil, working out and taking Advil, going to bed and taking Advil. Not to mention the wine with which I'll be washing it down.

Couldn't you guys have given me at least 1/10th of your musical ability? Thinner hair? Socializing skills/extroversion? Better teeth? Optimism? Instead I get pain and an undue share of compassion? Something is not right.

There's a rule that if you inherit undue shares of wit and beauty your allotments of good knees and optimism are reduced. I think they did a study on this with fruit flies or something.

I agree with Emily. And you might want to check in with your kidneys - I think Advil is the kidneys, Tylenol is the liver.
