Number crunching

Recently, my cycling computers rolled over some big numbers. Everything is relative, I suppose. But I was excited. I've been logging my miles since March of last year (2007) on my Aegis road bike (this photo was in the craigslist ad when I bought her -- so pretty! I've since put pedals on and added a few nicks).

Somewhere around November (or maybe this past February? I don't know), the computer broke and I got a new one. Then the new one stopped working intermittently and I discovered it was the wires, not the computer that was broken. So I replaced the wires.
Then I decided that because I had 2 functioning computers and one good set of wires, all I needed was another set of wires and I could put a computer on my fixie too. So I did. But not until a few months ago (April, I think).

So even though not all my miles are logged on these two computers, of the miles I have logged over the last 16 months or so . . . the fixie computer (which used to be on the road bike) passed over 1500 miles a few days ago and the Aegis is just over 2000 -- 3500 miles in 16/17 months.

Maybe I could focus on continuing to ride all winter instead of slacking off in favor of hibernating and get those numbers up before the 2 year mark. Maybe.
