Ready or not

Off we go in the morning -- at 6.15 a.m. we're to report to Beal's Point at Folsom Lake. I'm hopeful that the buckets of sweat pouring off me are a sign of my body draining the sickness, rather than of fever.
I've packed each day's clothes in individual bags and packed those bags into my backpack. I have a gallon-sized ziploc bag labeled "meds." With modern medicine as it is, I don't see any reason I can't just load up on pills and powders and vapors and hop on my bike. Maybe instead of my Rosie the Riveter Jersey, I should get one that says, "Powered by Sudafed."

My breathing seems to be getting a little better -- maybe it's the 'home remedies' my mom looked up last night. She said that people recommend using any one of them twice a day for three days and the bronchitis is gone. I don't have three days, so I'm using ALL of them throughout the day in the hope that home remedies don't know math either.

I figure a little positive thinking goes a long way. So let's all think some good ol' fashioned positive thoughts!

Thanks for all your love and support. I'll check in when we return!

[Check out the totals!]
