My friend J told me a couple of weeks ago that he was eating a "mostly vegan" diet. On Saturday, we went to a party together where there was a spread of BBQ fare. He piled his plate with salad, moved down and grabbed a giant piece of grilled chicken, and added a cupcake at the end. We went outside and drank our beers and ate our yummy lunches, and then he said, "I think I'm going back for round two." He came back out with a sandwich covered with roast beast and some sort of sauces and whatnot. I said, "How's that veganism working out for you?"
"Everything in moderation," he said.

My contribution to moderation this weekend was a fantastic homemade pizza: whole wheat crust, chunks of tomato and sauce, zucchini, squash, caramelized onion, grilled mushrooms, crumbled goat cheese, and some mozzarella. Yum.
