The Adventures of Cold Creek

Summer weekend adventures can't be beat.

Good morning Sunshine!
Good friends and the outdoors - a great combination.
Kaden is a little mountain goat - and climbed up every rock he could find.
To get from the trailhead, down the PCT a ways to the other side of the highway, we took these tunnels under the road. Kind of wet and eery. But the weirdest thing was seeing a woman in little strappy sandals trying to pass through.
 Gorgeous views from a ridge.

Our trip photographer and dog whisperer.
 Summit lake.
 Pano at summit lake.
 Scully getting her swim on.
 With Chuck.
Chuck finding the biggest stick he can't quite carry.

So cute! The group of us made it to Summit lake. Hungry and tired with three miles to go.
Check out Carlin's little tongue. He's fading fast. But he cannot resist chasing Scully around.
6 month old Carlin had enough.
So he just sat right down on the trail and would not budge.
 Blurry wildflowers.
 Tired pups.
Jana and the jiffy pop.

Jordan struggled with the fire until it finally roared to life in a rather dangerous way.

 Voila!

I'm pretty sure that these three just hang out at their house and stare at the dog all day.

Chuck taking up half my sleeping pad.

What a great time.

Not yet pictured - Jordan carrying little Carlin on his shoulders when he just completely tuckered out.
